Kerudung melilit leher

selendang melilit leher

ujang tergantung

tenang

lepas dahaga buah hati

peluk rangka berkulit

adakah esok tambah lagi?

sampaikah buaian di remaja?

orang tua itu manggut-manggut

bibir gemetar

simpan pandang suami tiba

katanya

“kau masih gagah kakanda”

Scarf around the neck

cloth around neck

The boy is hanging

calmly

The sweet boy releasing  thirst

to hug the skinny

Will tomorrow arrive?

Will the boy reach his teenage?

The old lady assuring herself

With trembling lips

and smilling to welcome her husband returning home

She said

“You are still handsome darling”
