SINGGAH

Dia singgah

di kota Bandung

lantas

Dia hilang

mana bunga indah

mana udara dingin

Dia kaget

jalan pada macet

jalan pada berlubang

jalan pada berlumpur

Dia pandang

gelandangan tiap simpang

baca menari di tengah jalan

sampah menggunung

mendesak insan

Dia pesan

jaga nama harum

semerbak nama kota

lantas

Dia berlalu

dan mengatakan

maafkan

kalau aku hanya betah

untuk singgah

STOP OVER

He stopped over

at the Bandung city

then

He excaimed

Where the flowers were

where the breeze was

He was shocked

over the traffic jam

over the holes of the streets

over the muddy streets

He viewed

Beggars at every corner

tricycles dancing at the middle of the streets

Huge pile of garbage

Pushing people

He noted

Take good care of reputation

Of  a flowerly sweet city

then

He gone away

and said

“ I am sorry

if I could only bare

to stop over “
